Payment Policy

We strive to provide the best in both comprehensive and medical eye care at a reasonable cost to our patients.  In addition to accepting numerous insurance plans, we also accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, ATM, Personal Checks, and Cash.

Following your examination, you will be given a bill for payment.  Your payment may depend, in part, on the type of insurance coverage you have.  If glasses, and or contact lenses are ordered, you have a choice to make

a.)  payment in two equal installments or,
     b.)  payment in full

If you choose a.), the remaining balance is due, in full, at the time prescription eye wear or contacts lenses are dispensed.

For certain contact lenses, i.e., Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses, payment is due, in full, immediately upon your lenses being dispensed.  Please feel free to call our office, (864) 458-9600, to see what other contact lenses fall into this category.

We accept major insurance plans such as, Vision Service Plan (VSP), Medicare, Medicaid,  Aetna, TriCare (Standard, Extra, Prime), Blue Cross Blue Shield, State Health Plan (BCBS), Blue Choice, United Health, Cigna,  Planned Administrators, Inc, Humana, as well as most Medicare Managed Care plans.

We also accept non-major insurance plans such as Eye Med, Superior Vision, MedCost, Community Eye Care and any other plan that states you can go to the Doctor of your choosing. For insurance or Flexible Spending plans that you are responsible for, if requested, we will gladly file the claim on your behalf for you to get reimbursed.

If you have vision coverage that you are not sure of, feel free to call our office, 864-458-9600, to determine if we are a provider for that plan.  We will gladly assist in helping you to file a claim for reimbursement if your plan does not cover vision services.

If you have insurance, it is important that you bring your insurance card(s) with you at the time of your appointment.  Without the card(s), you are liable for payment of all services rendered.
